These early Navajo or Pueblo dangle earrings will make you weak in the knees - not only from their elegant, one-of-a-kind looks but from their memorable story.

They were handmade around 1920 of natural turquoise and silver. See how the hands of time have wonderfully changed the colors of the turquoise stones!

The earrings were originally acquired by a New Orleans man who traveled to the Southwest and worked there for a number of years in the early 1900's. During his time in the Southwest, he purchased and was gifted a select number of Navajo & Pueblo jewelry pieces by his new Native American friends. He brought these back to New Orleans, where they became family heirlooms and were passed from generation to generation.

Back in 2019, I was approached by the man's granddaughter, now an elderly woman. She had pulled this early Navajo and Pueblo jewelry out of the family safe, where it had lived for almost 100 years. The woman was without children and ready to see the jewelry be removed from storage and sold to new families where they would be (hopefully) treasured again for decades more.

I placed all of the jewelry (except for one ring coming soon) in the 2019 edition of Turquoise & Tufa's annual catalog.

These earrings garnered loads of interest and sold immediately. Now, as if by divine providence, they've made their way back to Turquoise & Tufa again, and I'm absolutely thrilled to have these for you one more time.

It's exceedingly rare to have this type of provenance on pieces this early.

They measure 2 1/4" long and are unsigned which is in keeping with the period.
