Charlie Bird Pin of Mosaic Inlay Turquoise and Mother of Pearl

Charlie Bird of Laguna and Kewa Pueblo heritage is known for his distinctive designs in mosaic inlay jewelry.

This is one of Charlie Bird's pins, and it's dazzling as he used predominantly monochromatic turquoise with just a few randomly scattered mother of pearl stones. The entire composition makes use of one shape - the rectangle. Bird arranged hand-cut rectangular stones in a rectangular silver setting, and together they become something more than simple shapes.

While the turquoise pin isn't large, it's a burst of color and shape. Hopefully, you'll find a multitude of clothing, handbags and even shoes to adorn with this one piece.
