There's a joyful spirit about this shield shaped sterling silver pendant by Navajo artist Arland Ben. It comes from the gold desert sheep figure gleefully leaping under a 14k gold moon. The animal is inspired by ancient petroglyphs. So is the swirl that represents migration and our cyclical journey through life.

Petroglyphs like these are what Arland Ben does best. He's well-known for beautifully incorporating them into his original jewelry. Interestingly, Arland Ben is also known for working as a stunt man in The Last of the Mohicans. How cool is that!

This pendant has overlay, applique and distinct textures to make it stand out.

It's a perfect piece of jewelry to wear when mixing metals - incorporating gold and silver together in a harmonious fashion.

The pendant measures 1 1/2" x 1" and it's signed on the reverse. It has a shepherd's hook for easy hanging onto existing beads. It will arrive to you on a leather strap.
