Vintage Hopi Victor Coochwytewa Necklace Of Silver And Turquoise

Rather than silver overlay, this necklace makes its mark with striking cut-out designs in sterling silver. The centerpiece of the Victor Coochwytewa necklace is a pendant of mosaic inlay turquoise.The necklace closes with an adjustable handmade chain.
We've never seen a piece just like this before, and we're oh, so in love!
The piece was collected in the 1970's and has been in a private collection ever since.
It measures 17.5" from end to end. Each silver segment measures 3 1/2" x 1 1/2". The center turquoise pendant is 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" and is signed on the reverse with Victor Coochwytewa's hallmark, Kopavi shop mark and etched with Victor Coochwytewa.
