Vintage 1970's Navajo Turquoise Cuff
Are you someone attracted to Navajo jewelry that's somewhat unconventional? This vintage Navajo turquoise cuff certainly has a unique design.
The heavy gauge sterling silver bracelet is set with a single turquoise stone sitting in the center of a silver circle decorated with interesting silver work including applique beads, bars and other shapes. File work completes this handmade cuff that dates circa 1970's.
The piece is unsigned but it's in a style quite similar to the Navajo jeweler Paul Chee. Could it be an unsigned piece of his or perhaps another artist inspired by his work.
The bracelet measures 5 1/2" inside with a 1 1/4" opening. It is a full 2" wide.
From a New York City collection of Native American jewelry.
