Navajo Silver Butterfly Brooch by McKee Platero

Okay friends. We've got a third brooch by the incomparable Navajo jeweler McKee Platero. It's a traditional silver butterfly style pin with the expert repousse and precision stamp work that only McKee could do.

Besides pinned to a shirt or a jacket, we're hoping for some off-label uses for this piece such as wearing in one's hair, on a handbag, on a skirt, as a necklace, on the neck of a boot - there are so many ways to make this special piece all your own.

The pin measures 3 1/8" and is signed with McKee's Orion 3-dot hallmark. It was originally purchased from the renowned Santa Fe dealer Teal McKibben and has been in a private collection until now.
